Rating :  - Glad this was my first Hannah Howell book.
I'm glad I finally got around to reading a Hannah Howell book. I'm also glad that people consider this one to the be the best in the series. It was an enjoyable book with a good story, good characters and a whole lot of fun. It was steamy and hot to boot. This isn't a 5 star book, because it's not very original in plot, except for the beginning of the book, which is an original set up. I realize this is a wimpy review, but I do not want to spoil the story. Let's just say, it's hot, it's hysterical and it sizzles. I do feel bad for the heroine with her ultra alpha male and he could have given in just a tad more with his feelings. However, given the time period, I doubt a woman would get as much as she did out of a husband! If you don't like reading words in Scottish brogue and don't know that ken is know, in the English language, then this book isn't for you. If you like smart resourseful heroines who know how to put a man in his place, this book is for you, regardless of the brogue... I loved it!!!
